A bullet bra is a cone shaped bra that began it’s popularity in the 1940’s.  According to Wikipedia a bullet bra

“are a type of full-support bra with cups in the shape of a paraboloid of revolution with its axis perpendicular to the breast. Bullet bras often featured concentric circles of decorative stitching centred on the nipples. Invented in the late-1940s, they were still being sold well into the 1960s.”

“Military terminology, such as the highly structured conically pointed Torpedo or Bullet (or even Cone) bra started to appear in the 1940-50s, designed for ‘maximum projection’. A new image was the Sweater Girl, a busty and wholesome ‘girl next door’ whose tight fitting outergarments accentuated her artificially enhanced curves, while under and outer wires appeared. Sweater Girls often wore bullet bras.”

A bullet bra is now coming back a bit in certain circles and can add a sexy look to a night alone with that special someone.  Although bullet bras are not seen out and about on the streets to often, with their gaining popularity, they may be seen more in the future.
